Od prvog holivudskog filma kojeg sam gledao na crno-bijelom televizoru, znam da legende žive vječno, a da se zločin ne isplati. Ova priča to zorno potvrđuje. Crvena zastava je već odavno posrnula tvrtka, a prošlog ljeta u Americi vidio sam samo jednog "jugaša". Ali, ipak, legenda živi vječno, a priče o tom čudu od vozila žive i dalje. U srcima i sjećanjima nekadašnjih, još uvijek tim iskustvom pomalo frustriranih, vlasnika.
Na stranici everything2.com, koja funkcionira slično kao i naša e-ciklopedija, ali s nešto većim brojem unesenih pojmova, glasanjem je svojevremeno yugo izabran za najgori auto koji je ikada vozio zemljom. My dad had a Yugo. Because the van he had was having problems, and he refused to break the promise he had made to my sister and I that he'd take us to Cedar Point that summer. So he bought one, since it was the cheapest car on the market.
I eventually drove it for a while in high school. Sure, it was embarassing, but it was either that or nothing, and though nothing was almost preferable some days, it was a car.
If you looked at it as a disposable car, then maybe wasn't such a bad vehicle. The gas milage was incredible. And we fit like nine people in it once, and it went. Not too fast, but it went. The thing would do about 85, I know, I floored it. Uphill wasn't as good.
The interior parts were rather cheap, however. The inside door handle had a tendency to break, being plastic and quite thin.
A woman was once blown off the Mackinac Bridge while in a Yugo, due to gale-force winds. The story has been twisted around and made into various urban legends about other brigdes and stuff...
ne razumijem ruganje s tim autom.Auto je bio sasvim prosjecan i normalan.Naravno,ne za americke nego za europske prilike.Prosjecne karakteristike za ono vrijeme,prosjecan dizajn koji je prekopiran od golfa 1,nesto niza cijena.Jos i danas ih ima,40 godina od proizvodnje.Ima li drugih auta te starosti na putevima u toj kolicini?
